Granules for soil application and hydrated gels for the application methods described below.
Key Benefits
The following functions are described in the published source; they are not measured results for every formulation.
- Holds water and nutrients rather than letting them drain past the root zone.
- Improves soil structure — aggregate formation, permeability, aeration and heat capacity.
- Resists salinity and alkalinity, and stays stable in storage and in the soil.
- Carries potassium, so it also contributes nutrition.
- Toxicological and environmental testing reports no toxic residue, no environmental pollution and natural degradability.
Technical Data
See the technical specifications table above and the source TDS below. Keep the stated units, dosage basis and test conditions together when comparing grades.
The source overview states absorption of 300-500 times the material weight, while its deionized-water specification states 300-400 times. Obtain the approved test method, water quality and corrected specification before using either range as a purchasing guarantee.
Application methods
- Seed dressing: dilute to 0.5%-1.0% to form a hydrogel, mix with seed, dry and sow.
- Hole application: mix 1:5-10 with fine dry soil or fertiliser, place in 10-20 cm planting holes, cover and water. 2-5 kg/mu; suited to tomato, pepper, watermelon, potato and sweet potato.
- Furrow application: same 1:5-10 mix in a 10-20 cm furrow, 2-5 kg/mu; suited to flue-cured tobacco, peanut, rapeseed, radish, wheat, cotton and sorghum.
- Broadcast: 6-10 kg/mu, worked into the top 5-10 cm and watered in, then sown; turf at 40-60 g/m² on sand and 20-40 g/m² on loam.
- Mature trees: ring or strip furrow 20-30 cm wide and 30-50 cm deep, 20-80 g for a young tree and 80-200 g for a mature one.
- Root dipping: 1:100-150 gel for 3-5 seconds at transplanting.
Using it correctly
The agent is not a water source: irrigate as the soil requires, or apply after thorough rainfall and top up in time. Apply evenly in furrows and holes rather than in clumps. It can be mixed with pesticides, fertilisers and plant growth regulators. Caking after moisture pickup does not affect performance.
