Product Detail

Application

Waterborne coatings, polymer emulsions and pigment slurries. Coatings dosage data do not establish an agrochemical dosage.

Formulation Type

Waterborne coatings, polymer emulsions and pigment slurries. Coatings dosage data do not establish an agrochemical dosage.

Key Benefits

The following functions are described in the published source; they are not measured results for every formulation.

  • Active against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria as well as yeasts and moulds.
  • Proven in acrylic, polyvinyl acetate, polystyrene-butyl and other copolymer systems.
  • Contains no formaldehyde or formaldehyde-releasing substances.
  • Low active concentration and no adverse effect on the finished product when used as directed.

Technical Data

See the technical specifications table above and the source TDS below. Keep the stated units, dosage basis and test conditions together when comparing grades.

Use and dosage

PV15 is a liquid and mixes easily; the sheet reports that performance is not affected by the point of addition, so it can be dosed during grinding or during paint formulation. Stir thoroughly after addition. For best performance use it in systems below pH 9 and at temperatures not above 40 °C, with short-term exposure up to 60 °C.

  • Waterborne coatings: 0.05%-0.167%, equivalent to 0.5-1.67 L per tonne.
  • Polymer emulsions: 0.05%-0.33%, equivalent to 0.5-3.3 L per tonne.

Packaging and storage

20 kg drums. Store indoors at ambient temperature in a well-ventilated area, and do not use unlined metal containers.
