Dosage

• Synthetic polymer emulsions: 0.1%-0.3%.
• Latex paints: 0.1%-0.3%.
• Waterborne adhesives: 0.1%-0.3%.
• Pigment cakes and dispersions: 0.1%-0.25%.
• Printing inks: 0.1%-0.2%.
• Textile products: 0.1%-0.3%.
• Household products: 0.1%-0.25%.
• Fertiliser products: 0.1%-0.4%.

Addition and compatibility

Add as early as practical in production. The effective level depends on how susceptible the formula is to microorganisms, the species present, pH, temperature and the protection period required. BZ is effective over pH 4-10 but is incompatible with some oxidising and reducing agents such as persalts and sulfites; in formulations containing free metals it is stable and does not cause anti-chelating effects or discolouration.

Storage and transport

Store in the original container protected from extreme temperatures. Shelf life is 12 months at 20 °C. The product is classified and transported as non-hazardous.
